After many years, Johnson’s Mill Point Resort has new owners. The resort was first opened in 1945 as Leander’s Mill Point Cottages. There are over 60 years of memories surrounding the resort and we plan on continuing the journey.

Mill Point Resort is located on Alder Lake on the Manitowish Waters Chain of 10 Lakes. Alder Lake is surrounded by the most pristine old growth forest in Wisconsin and right in the middle of the forest is Mill Point Resort. With over 700 feet of sugar ripple sand beach, we have level frontage facing southwest for glorious sun all day long. Opened in 1945, Mill Point has three 3 bedroom cottages and two 2 bedroom cottages located 45 feet from the water’s edge, and a 3 bedroom Mill House. The resort is only 1 mile from Hwy 51.

In September of 2009 we began our second phase of remodeling. Cottages 1, 2, and 3 have all been designed with an addition doubling the size. They now have 3 large bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, one with a whirlpool tub, new kitchens and great room facing the lake. Click on cottages 1 thru 3 to see the new floor plans. In May of 2010 the Mill House will be completing a total remodel. It now has 3 large bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, one with a whirlpool tub, new kitchen and great room facing the lake. The resort features a game room with foosball, ping pong, board games, a 50 inch TV for use with DVDs or videos (bring your own or choose from our library), and access to FREE WIRELESS INTERNET! !

The resort is open May through October. The Mill House and Private Home are available for rent all year. There are plenty of activities for the active family (tennis, golf, hiking, biking, canoeing, water sports, hunting, and fishing) or relax at the campfire. We offer free use of kayaks, canoes, rowboats, and water front amenities for all of our guests. We recommend booking early, weeks during June, July and August are prime times.
